Dear participant
On behalf of the Euradrenal consortium and The Norwegian Endocrine Society, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome to this scientific venue on Addison’s disease at Os outside Bergen Norway.
The meeting will bring together not only the consortium members and their teams, but also leaders in fields related to Addison’s disease from Europe and the United States.
The programme will be a combination of presentations of the latest science, state of the art clinical updates, and interactive workshops with patient organisations as active participators. A poster session will facilitate interaction of faculty and younger scientists. The invited speakers have shown excellence in their respective fields and include the following persons:
- Dr. Jakub Abramson, The Weizmann Institute, Israel
- Prof. Bruno Allolio, University of Wurzburg, Germany
- Prof. Mark Anderson, University of California San Francisco, USA
- Prof. Gudmundur Johannsson, University of Gothenburg, Sweden
- Prof Stafford Lightman, University of Bristol
- Dr. Kerstin Lindblad-Toh, The Broad Institute, Cambridge, Mass, USA and Uppsala University, Sweden
- Prof. Lawrence Nelson, National Institute of Health, Bethesta, USA
- Prof. John Todd, University of Cambridge, UK
The meeting can be viewed as the second in a series of international conferences focusing on autoimmune Addisons disease and polyendocrine syndromes; the first was arranged in Helsinki in 2008 (at the end of FP6 EurAPS).
We plan to further extend this series of international meetings every 4th year.
