Radikalisering av kvinner og jenter i Kenya

Linnet Hamasi, guest researcher at Nordic Africa Institute, on 'Sources, Trends and influences in Radicalization of Women and Girls in Kenya: Implications for Peace and Security'.

Hamasi's research area is terrorism in Kenya with special focus on female radicalization. 

The aim of this research is to investigate the process of radicalization from a gender perspective in order to unpack this issue in non traditional groups and areas. The research will use new forms of conversations and lenses to look at why radicalization is becoming rampant among women and girls as a basis of devising Early Warning Systems and ways of predicting pre-radicalization conditions before actual radicalization takes place.
