Systematic HSE work promotes health and well-being and prevents accidents and harm occurring to staff, students, the environment and property.
The Health, Safety and Environment Section is the University of Bergen's disciplinary unit within health, safety and environment (HSE), and is part of The Division of Human Resources.
The department's eight research groups reflect the span in research activities, from fundamental molecular-level theoretical and spectroscopic investigations, synthesis and investigation of complex organic molecules to applied studies related to petroleum exploration and the chemical process industry.
In June 2004, The Bergen Bullying Research Group arranged The Fourth International Conference on Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace. The conference was a big success with about 120 participants from all over the world.
