Chemistry's research groups
The department's eight research groups reflect the span in research activities, from fundamental molecular-level theoretical and spectroscopic investigations, synthesis and investigation of complex organic molecules to applied studies related to petroleum exploration and the chemical process industry.

2004 Conference
In June 2004, The Bergen Bullying Research Group arranged The Fourth International Conference on Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace. The conference was a big success with about 120 participants from all over the world.
