Earthquake hazard collaboration with Cuba

Bladimir Moreno Toiran is visiting the department for one month this spring.
He is director of the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Sismológicas (CENAIS) in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.
His visit is part of the project “Earthquake Hazard and Risk in Cuba”, a cooperation project between CENAIS, UiB and NORSAR, aimed at improved seismic hazard and risk assessment in Cuba.
During his visit, Bladimir will work on mainly on developing an improved 3D velocity structure model of the southern part of Cuba.
