Cosmogenic nuclide laboratory
A laboratory dedicated to mineral separation and extraction of cosmogenic nuclides from rock and sediment samples.
The laboratory is currently being established at the Department of Earth Science.
It is designed for extraction of in situ cosmogenic nuclides from rock and sediment samples, and has four polypropylene fume hoods. Mineral separation and nuclide extraction will be performed at the laboratory whereas the final target preparation and accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) analysis will be performed elsewhere.
