About CGB

CGB’s overall scientific goal is to develop new, fundamental knowledge about the interaction between the geo-biosphere and the roots of life. By organising deep-sea expeditions, undertaking drilling campaigns and initiating national and international research projects, CGB has developed a strong research programme that has concentrated on the deep seafloor, on the deep biosphere, on crust formed in deep time and the roots of life.
