SERVICE ECONOMIES

This field of research includes a variety of topics on the knowledge economy, geography and services, both related to sourcing strategies as well as how different production systems have organised and localised their service activities. The research and publications cover SMEs, large companies as well the public sector. The activities are based on a long-term collaboration with colleagues at University of Birmingham and RESER.  On going research activities includes a Nordic collaboration with Brita Hermelin at University of Stockholm and Mika Kautonen at University of Tampere and a master-thesis:

• Offshoring of services activities. Motivations and strategies among Norwegian firms (research project and master thesis)
