University of the Arctic

The University of the Arctic comprises more than 100 member institutions in the circumpolar Arctic region of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Russia, USA and Canada. The members share resources, facilities and expertise to do research and build post-secondary education programs that are relevant and accessible to northern students.

Among the main collaborative academic activities of the network are:

• Thematic Networks for development of University of the Arctic education and research
• N2N (North-to-North) student mobility programme providing opportunities and scholarships for students to study at other University of the Arctic institutions
• Circumpolar Studies offered to undergraduate and graduate students attending University of the Arctic member institutions
