Preparing to go to Bergen

Travelling to Bergen usually involves much more preparation than just buying a ticket. Depending on where you are from, if you are bringing family or not, the process involved may take some time.

You will need some information about the formal laws and rules for entering Norway in your particular case, and you may have to decide if you should apply for residence permit before or after arriving in Norway.
It is also smart to make preparation for a place to stay in advance, and you may need to arrange for transport of your belongings, get a place for your child in a kindergarten or in school to mention but a few of the more important issues.
