Section for Occupational MedicineOccupational Medicine is defined as the science of occupationally related disorders: epidemiology, medical diagnostic procedures, and the treatment and prevention of such disorders. This discipline covers a wide range of subjects, such as occupational chemical hazards and hazards from physical occupational factors, as well as multifactorial psychosocial disorders. Occupational epidemiology is a major part of the research activity at the Section. In addition, the Section cooperates with occupational health care units regarding research projects and education. The Section teaches medical students occupational health care, as well as occupational medicine, and arranges post-graduate courses. | ||
