Auxiliary material in the examination rooms

All auxiliary material is checked in the examination room before the examination starts.

Please take time to read the information below. Cf. also section 3-6 of the “Supplementary regulations for studies at the Faculty of Law”.

At the Faculty of Law, the following rules apply:

  • Students meet on the premises at 08:20. Auxiliary material, stationery, food, drink etc. must then be brought to the examination desk and bags placed by the wall. Remember to leave your Student Card on your desk! All students have to leave the examination room before 08:30.

  • It is the students’ own responsibility to bring any and all materials they wish to use during the examination. The statute book “Norges Lover” is not for loan to students, except in cases where the student’s own statute book is confiscated for breaches of the regulations on auxiliary materials. In such cases, copy of the statute book will be lent to the student.

  • The check takes place between 08:30 and 08:50. Students who arrive late must present their books and any other materials for checking and are not allowed to enter the examination room before the check is finished. These students will not be given additional time.

  • If practical considerations demand it, the check can be carried out during the exam.

  • A list of confiscated auxiliary material will be posted on the door of the examination room after the checking of auxiliary material has been completed. Affected students will be notified about where these materials can be collected.

  • A decision to confiscate auxiliary material may be appealed at the latest three weeks after the examination.

  • In cases where cheating is suspected, the student may complete his/her examination, but the paper will not graded before the matter is settled.

  • Candidates must use a black or blue ballpoint pen to ensure that their writing is legible on all three layers of the special examination papers. Note that the handwriting must be legible! In the opposite case, the paper may not be graded.
