International Master Applicants Residing in Norway
Applicants to the master programmes at our faculty who are residing in Norway or who have a Norwegian ID number, have to apply as a Norwegian applicant. Application deadline is 15 April for the autumn term and 1 November for the spring term.

Admission requirements
To be accepted onto a Master’s degree programme, a student must have achieved a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher degree. To qualify for admission, the applicant must have an average grade of C or above in their Bachelor’s degree major subject (according to the Norwegian grading system).
If there are more applicants for a programme than there are places, applicants will be ranked.

The list of master programmes you can apply for at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (applies only for applicants residing in Norway) will be actualized when the online application form opens in October.
Application deadline for spring term is 1 November. For spring term 2013 one could apply for the following programs:

Søknadsweb
Applicants with a Norwegian ID number may apply in Søknadsweb. The main deadline for application is 15 April for admission to autumn semester. Supplementary admission in spring has an application deadline 1 November. Søknadsweb opens one month before the deadline, ie by 15 March / 1 October.
Application file / documentation
Within 10 days after the application is registered the applicant will receive an application file (følgeskjema). This application file must be returned to the relevant department, including all required documentation of higher education and degrees, following the instructions given on the application file. Deadline for submission of the application receipt, included documentation, is 25 April / 10 November.

- Reply from the department will be sent within 10 July for admission to the autumn term, within 10 December for admission to the spring term. Offers of admission are made on Søknadsweb
- Deadline for reprioritize master programme: 15 April for autumn term / 1 November for spring term
- If you are offered admission, you have to accept in Søknadsweb by 31 July for admission to autumn term, within 31 December for admission to spring term.
- You may be offered conditional admission pending exam results from the current semester. Submit your transcripts, diplomas or the verification of obtained degree as soon as possible.
