International Master Applicants Residing in Norway

Applicants to the master programmes at our faculty who are residing in Norway or who have a Norwegian ID number, have to apply as a Norwegian applicant. Application deadline is 15 April for the autumn term and 1 November for the spring term.

Admission requirements

To be accepted onto a Master’s degree programme, a student must have achieved a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher degree. To qualify for admission, the applicant must have an average grade of C or above in their Bachelor’s degree major subject (according to the Norwegian grading system).

If there are more applicants for a programme than there are places, applicants will be ranked.

Please note that the different master's programmes also may have additional admission requirements. See programme descriptions.

Søknadsweb

Applicants with a Norwegian ID number may apply in Søknadsweb. The main deadline for application is 15 April for admission to autumn semester. Supplementary admission in spring has an application deadline 1 November. Søknadsweb opens one month before the deadline, ie by 15 March / 1 October.

Application file / documentation

Within 10 days after the application is registered the applicant will receive an application file (følgeskjema). This application file must be returned to the relevant department, including all required documentation of higher education and degrees, following the instructions given on the application file. Deadline for submission of the application receipt, included documentation, is 25 April / 10 November.
