PhD training
The Department of Molecular Biology (MBI) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences offer PhD training in Molecular Biology. PhD projects may be initiated and and carried out at the department, or at collaborating institutions - then with co-supervision from MBI.
The PhD-programme extends over 3 years and consists of a research project amounting to a total of 2,5 years of work, and a training component amounting to 30 ECTs/0,5 years of work. Please find general information regarding the PhD-programme here.
The Department participates in the Molecular and Computational Biology Research School, MCB.

MCB - The Molecular and Computational Biology Research School
MCB is a partnership between the Computational Biology Unit (CBU), the Department of Biomedicine, the Department of Informatics, the Department of Molecular Biology and Sars International Centre for Marine Molecular Biology (Sars). MCB has been organized to create an attractive and stimulating training environment for doctoral students in molecular and computational biology. MCB organizes courses and network activities for PhD-students within the field(s) of Molecular and Computational Biology.
