The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology (IAC) is a part of the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Bergen. The Department is located at the pre-clinical institutes together with The Department of Physiology (FI) and The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IMBM).
The Department is responsible for instructing medical and dentistry students in anatomy and cell biology, which include gross anatomy, micro anatomy and cell biology.
As of 2003 the Department has a scientific staff at 13 (9 Professors, 4 Assosiate Professors and 1 Adjunct Professors), and 23 technicians and 3 administrators in permanent positions. At present there are 29 post doctoral candidates and research fellows, and 7 Post Gradual students
