New visiting address

Armauer Hansens Hus is being renovated and in the building period, the faculty's administration and the information centre for students have moved to porter cabins. The proter cabins are located in front of the old Medicine B building, between Ibsens gate and Haukelandsveien. Our new visiting address is Jonas Lies vei 79.

Zinc treatment for infections in children

Serious infections cause a lot of child deaths in developing countries. A study in India focuses on the effect of zinc as a supplement to antibiotic treatment. The findings, which are now published in the Lancet, showed that zinc reduced treatment failure by 40%.
