Kjønnsbalanse i forskning og forskningsledelse ved forsknings- og utdanningsinstitusjoner i Bergen (BALANSE)

International Workshop on Gender in Academia at the University of Bergen

The workshop will bring together researchers and academics who are interested in gendered cultures and structures in the changing academic world. What type of gendered consequences do increasing competition, definitions of «academic excellence» and higher demands for international mobility have? Invited keynote speakers will present their recent research findings in the field and each presentation will be followed by a plenary discussion. The participants will have the chance of actively participating in the discussions. The workshop will end with a panel discussion in which all the keynote speakers will discuss main issues, future research questions and answer questions.
