David Wright ansatt som professor II ved Senter for farmasi

Professor David Wright fra University of East Anglia er fra desember 2014 formelt ansatt som professor II ved Senter for farmasi.

David Wright is a new professor in Clinical Pharmacy at the Centre for Pharmacy. His research interests range from managing medicines in older persons, integration of the pharmacist into the healthcare system in order to improve patient care, and to pharmacy education. David's expertise is in the evaluation of complex interventions which includes systematic reviews, service evaluations, feasibility studies, pilot studies and delivery of definitive randomised controlled trials. Areas of current interest are the management of medicines in care homes, the administration of medicines to patients with swallowing problems and the improvement of information transfer between care settings. David was research chair for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society conference in 2013.

David has a strong interest in teaching, winning awards for excellence in teaching at both institutes where he has been previously employed and has received national recognition for his contribution to pharmacy education.  David moved to the University of East Anglia in 2003 to help set up the first new school of pharmacy in the UK for over 20 years.  The school has come top nationally for student satisfaction for five of the seven years in which it has been evaluated and is currently rated sixth for research.  In 2006 David was part of the team which set up the successful collaboration between the University of Bergen and the University of East Anglia Schools of Pharmacy and has been involved in teaching students from Bergen for the last eight years.
