Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Meteorology

Hovedinnhold

Ph.d.-kandidat Stephanie Mayer, Geofysisk institutt, holder prøveforelesning over selvvalgt emne.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are model aircrafts or drones which have
many applications, mostly known for military purposes. One civil
application, becoming more and more popular, is the use of UAVs for
atmospheric research. In this talk an overview over existing UAV systems
for atmospheric research in Europe and the United States will be given.

The talk is Stephanie Mayer’s trial lecture on a self-selected topic.
