Folgefonnsenteret and outreach possibilities for Bjerknes scientists

Abstract
In 2016 Folgefonnsenteret in Rosendal will be realized as a joint initiative by public and private stakeholders as a facility for interdisciplinary dissemination of science and management of environment and the interactions between water, climate, biodiversity and society.
Folgefonna National Park Centre, the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research and the Institute of Marine Research are the primary suppliers for the scientific contents and profile. Thus, Folgefonnsenteret will function as an exhibition- and dissemination facility for hundreds of scientists from several research institutions.
The exhibitions in Folgefonnsenteret are now under planning together with the graphical designers at FuggiBaggi. The exhibitions will be aimed at stimulating reflections around sustainable development, management and knowledge generation in the water, climate and biodiversity nexus. FuggiBaggi have made a synopsis on the ideas behind the exhibitions that we would like to present for the scientific community at the Bjerknes Centre.
In the further process we invite all of you who are interested in popular scientific disseminations to engage and contribute with ideas for how to make the Folgefonna Centre to an exciting and different center for public outreach, as well as an ideal venue for workshops and conferences.
