I am part of the advisory team for externally financed projects at the Divison of Research Management UiB. I act as Local Contact Point for the Norwegian Center of Excellence scheme (SFF), the Center for Research Based Innovation (SFI) scheme and the European Research Council (ERC).

I coordinated the internal UiB process for RCNs SFF III call and for SFF IV in 2015. I worked as an administrative coordinator at Birkeland Center for Space Sciences where I helped to get the centre started in 2013 and took part in the day to day running of the center, organisation of scientific meetings as well as financial and annual reports.

For ERC applicants the advisory team spreads information, helps with proposal writing and organises training events for Starting or Consolidator Grant proposers who are invited to an interview in Brussels. We also offer information documents on ERC interviews and organise regular proposal writing courses and information seminars.

I am also Local Contact Point for LEIT Space and Spreading Excelllence and Widening participation in Horizon 2020 as well as COST actions. I can also assist with proposals from other H2020 areas like the MSCA program and collaborative projects.

I studied Biology at Darmstadt University of Technology and hold a PhD in Biology from the University of Freiburg. I worked as a post doc at the Dept of Biomedicine at UiB. My areas of expertise are cell biology, angiogenesis and tissue engineering. I also supervised (MSc) students and technical personnell.

I am currently enrolled in an MBA program for higher education management (120 credit points) at the University of Oldenburg (Germany) besides my job  to increase my knowledge and understanding of higher education administration.

So far I studied higher education marketing, conflict management, budgeting and financing, organisational theory and leadership, finance management and investment, higher education law, politics and economy, project management, research management and controlling. I also completed courses on e-learning and strategic management and gained insight in HR with a course in Diversity Management. My master thesis will be in the area of research management.

I participated in the ESMU-Humane winter school for senior university administrators in 2012 as the only Norwegian participant.

As a member of the annual conference organising committee at the European Association of Research Managers (EARMA) I am currently in charge of organising the Track on RM&A for Public-Private and Public-Public Partnerships & Global Collaboration; Support Structures.

In 2009/2010 I helped to organise the first UiB training program for young research leaders.

In 2011 I organised a 2 day course on acquisition of external funding for UiBs Faculty of Medicine and Dentristry and was involved in planning similar programs at the other faculties.

In 2011 and 2012 and 2016 I organised the track for research management at UiBs international staff week.

I am currently a Norwegian delegate to two COST actions: TN 1301- Sci Generation to give European scientists better career chances and TD 1408 INTREPID on interdisciplinarity in Research Funding Cycles
