Jeg jobber med fortidens vegetasjons- og klimahistorie ved å bruke planterester som pollen, frø, blader, nåler, m.m som ligger lagret i myrer og innsjøer. Planterestene kan fortelle oss hvordan vegetasjonen og landskapet så ut før og hvordan klimaendringer, miljøforandringer og menneskelig påvirkning har endret vegetasjonen.

Mine prosjekter handler om:

* klima og miljøendringer i Uralfjellene i Russland

* endringer i sammensetningen i våre skoger - fra siste istid fram til i dag

* klimaendringer og påvirkningen på tregrensen

* spredning av pollen i dagens landskap

Jeg er for tiden Utdanningsleder for Institutt for biovitenskap og jobber for studiekvalitet og utvikling av våre studier.
