My scientific background is within behaviour ecology of fish, with emphasise on fish’s many trade-offs between foraging and predator evasion, and on how feeding behaviour and habitat choice is related to biological – (predation risk, food availability, life stage and sex) and physical variables (light, turbidity and oxygen). Another interest is on how changes in physical – (climatic) or biological (predator, parasite pressure, mate competition) factors shape different life-history strategies in terms of growth, reproduction and mating strategy in fish.
