Master Thesis: "Attached or Detached? Subjective Methods in War Journalism".

Sjøvaag’s postdoktorprosjekt "The Impact of Structural Shifts on the News" spør hvordan strukturelle forhold i medielandskapet påvirker medieeierskap, og hvordan eierskap igjen påvirker medieinnhold. Prosjektet ser først og fremst på det skandinaviske avis- og fjernsynsmarkedet, med særlig blikk på strategiene til Schibsted og Telenor. Prosjektet tilhører NFR-prosjektet Journalistiske nyorienteringer.
