Strålingsklima

Lokalmeteorologi

Er ansvarleg for målingane av stråling ved Strålingsobservatoriet i Bergen, som er plassert på taket av Geofysisk institutt. Her måler vi kortbølga solstråling og langbølga atmosfærisk (terrestrisk) stråling. Her er lange tidsseriar med strålingsmålingar som er publiserte i årbøker og dataene er også samla i ein stor internasjonal database ved World Radiation Data Center i St. Petersburg.

Dataene har også vore nytta i mange forskingsprosjekt, i dei seinare åra mellom anna dei to EU-prosjekta Satel-light og Heliosat3. Eg deltek no i eit Cost-prosjekt COST 726 om UV-klimatologi og endringar av UV stråling i Europa.

Noverande prosjekt

Er ansvarleg for eit pilotprosjekt der vi måler kortbølga (total og UVB) og langbølga stråling på EKOFISK plattformen i Nordsjøen.
Er ansvarleg for nettsida Været i Bergen, der målingar frå taket av Geofysisk institutt og frå Ulriken (640 m.o.h.) er visualisert i sann tid.
Har ansvar for utplassering av ein verstasjon på øya Utsira våren 2011. I dette prosjektet skal dei innkomande dataene også visualiserast i sann tid.
Deltek i samarbeidet Network for University Co-operation Tibet - Norway

Avslutta prosjekt

Deltok i det Europeiske COST-prosjektet COST726 om UV-klimatologi og endringar av UV stråling i Europa. Her er Bergen valt ut som ein av 4 europeiske stasjonar til testing av modellar for estimering av UV-stråling.

Har tidlegare delteke i to EU-prosjekt: Heliosat3 og Satel-light der føremålet var å teste og vidareutvikle metodar til å estimere solstråling ved bakken frå målingar frå Geostasjonære satellittar. I prosjektet Satel-light blei der mellom anna produsert strålingsdata for Europa for perioden 1996-2000 basert på satellittdata. Dataene kan lastast ned frå prosjektsida Satel-light.

Har også delteke i to prosjekt i det Internasjonale Energybyrået (International Energy Agency; IEA) sitt Solar Heating and Cooling Programme (SHCP): IEA-SHCP Task 17 og IEA-SHCP Task9 der føremålet var å skaffe strålingsdata (målte eller modellerte) til dei miljø som etterspurde slike data (byggforskarar, arealplanleggarar, landbruksforskarar osb.)
