Interactive visual analysis and exploration (aka. visual analytics) aims at iterative information drill-down in complex data exploration scenarios:

  • multi-variate data,
  • time-dependent data,
  • higher-dimensional data,
  • large datasets, etc.

Johannes Kehrer is currently a researcher at the VRVis Research Center in Vienna, Austria.  He finished his PhD degree in 2011 at the University of Bergen, Norway, where he worked as a research fellow in visualization.  In Oct. 2007, he received the MSc degree in computer graphics and digital image processing from Vienna University of Technology, Austria.  His research interests include the interactive visual analysis of multi-run, multi-model, multi-variate, and spatiotemporal data (primarily from the application fields of climate research and engineering).  He has cooperated with several climate and meteorological institutes.
