I'm on partial maternity leave and am only working 2 days a week until the end of March 2011. 

I am Professor of Digital Culture, and I research ways in which people tell stories online, looking at electronic literature, blogging, games and social media.

I'm an avid blogger, and started my research blog jill/txt in October 2000. You can also follow me on Twitter.

 

Publications in Cristin

My book Blogging was published on Polity Press in 2008. I also co-edited a scholarly anthology on the popular online game World of Warcraft with my colleague Hilde G. Corneliussen. The book, which is titled Digital Culture, Play, and Identity: A World of Warcraft Reader, came out on MIT Press in 2008.

I've also published a number of articles on blogging, participatory media and electronic literature. You'll find a complete list at http://jilltxt.net - and there are links to full online versions of most of the articles.
