During my PhD. I focused on molecular features responsible for the stability of proteins from thermophilic and hyperthermophilic microorganisms. The study involved enzymology and structural biology.
At present my research is more focused on the total protein expression of single cells to investigate regulation of metabolism as a response to environmental changes.
Furthermore, I`m involved in establishing metaproteomics at the CGB, to investigate the complexity of different communities in the deep biosphere.
