My research is mainly based on mathematical model studies of biological processes and dynamics in marine ecosystems. It spans from model studies of processes at the individual level, such as growth, vertical migration, and life-histories of pelagic organisms, to coupled physical and biological model studies of pelagic primary production in coastal ecosystems. Currently I am involved in projects on growth and energy budgets of blue mussels at different environmental conditions, and a project on coastal ecosystem dynamics in Vietnam.
