Progression
Doctoral training is stipulated to three years. A continous progression is hence important in order to finish in due time.
The prescribed duration of the researcher training programme is three years. Good progress is therefore necessary to ensure completion within this timeframe.
PhD registration
With effect from 1 January 2010, all PhD candidates are required to register twice a year. PhD registration is part of the overall follow-up of PhD candidates and comes in addition to progress reporting.
Annual progress report
During the contract period, the PhD candidate and supervisor(s) shall submit separate written reports on the progress of researcher training by 1 November each year.
In order to ensure that the training is completed within the prescribed timeframe as far as possible, both the supervisor(s) and the PhD candidate are obliged to actively follow up matters that can lead to delays or non-completion of the researcher training.
Deficient or unsatisfactory progress reporting may lead to forced termination of the research programme before the end of the contract period.
The form for reporting and guidelines for completing the form are available under ‘progress reporting´ in the menu on the right.
