End of fellowship period


Some PhD candidates find themselves in the unfortunate situation where the fellowship period has ended but the thesis is still uncompleted.

PhD candidates who are unable to complete their thesis within the given time limit must apply for an extension of the period of doctoral training. The application must contain a realistic plan for completion of the thesis. The PhD contract will be terminated if the PhD candidate does not apply or the application is not granted at the very latest one year after the funding period has expired.
