PhD News is newsletter made by the Department of Research Management. The target group is staff working with PhD.-education, supervisors as well as PhD.-candidates.

The newsletter presents recent developments in the field of doctoral education at both the institutional, national and international level. Among the topics presented are the outcomes of various seminars and meetings, as well as invitations to upcoming events. PhD News is an outcome of the action plan for doctoral education that was adopted in 2009 and PhD News regularly features updates on the implementation of the action plan.
Another key feature of PhD News is an editorial written by pro-rector Berit Rokne. The editorial focuses on recent developments and the rectorate’s dealings with doctoral education as well as related issues.
