Trial lecture
Trial lecture must be on a given topic.
- After the thesis has been submitted but before the defence, the doctoral candidate must give a trial lecture on a given topic. The trial lecture shall be approved by an evaluation committee appointed by the faculty.
- The topic for the trial lecture is determined by the Faculty and the candidate must receive notification of the topic ten working days prior to the lecture. After the trial lecture, the evaluation committee shall send a report to the Faculty where it explains its evaluation of the trial lecture.
- The report shall conclude by indicating whether the trial lecture is approved/not approved.
- The trial lecture must be held and passed before the defence can be held.
