About the devision

The Department for Human Resources handles all HR enquiries of a general nature and advises on terms and conditions of service, matters of policy and good practice in employment.

Our responsibilities include:

• delivery of the University's HR Strategy
• promotion of diversity and equality of opportunity in employment
• the development of appropriate personnel policies, procedures and codes of practice
• the provision of support and specialist advice to departments
• the maintenance of good employee relations
• the delivery of comprehensive training opportunities for leaders and staff across the University
• providing welfare support
• providing information and services for international mobile staff
• promote health at work through The Health, Safety and Environment Section.
