Nano Science

Nano science at UiB consists of four lines of research: Nano basis, containing research within the basal subjects of physics and chemistry. Nano bio, containing projects within the fields of biology and biomedicine. Nano process, with projects within the field of process technology. Nano ethic, with focus on ethical issues connected with nano technology.

Fundamental and applied studies of nano-sized clusters.

Four faculties are involved in this research programme: The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Professor Bodil Holst, Department of Physics and Technology is head of the programme.
