Immigration authorities (UDI)

The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has a lot of information on the web about immigrating to Norway: www.udi.no

It is possible to contact UDI directly: + 47 23 35 16 00. When calling, be prepared for hours of waiting before you manage to talk to a person who can answer your questions. There is also a special contact phone for employers, and the university can call UDI on this number and get  answers quickly, but in order to get information about a case, the university needs to have been granted a power of attorney from the applicant.
