An evening with Grieg
On a sunny autumn afternoon, almost 30 international employees and guests joined us for a visit to the Edvard Grieg museum Troldhaugen.
Edvard Grieg is the most famous citizen of Bergen, so it seemed to be a good idea to invite our new “citizens” to have a close encounter with this great man and his music. Visiting Troldhaugen on a day like this gave us opportunity to really experience the beautiful location of his home. It is no wonder that the breathtaking view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains served as a source of inspiration for Grieg. An enthusiastic Eilif Løtveit shared some of his vast knowledge of the composer`s life with us and guided us in Grieg`s house and garden.
Our visitors had a chance to listen to some of the highlights of Grieg`s music performed by pianist Rune Alver in the consert hall Troldsalen.
Everybody seem to have enjoyed the memorable “timetravel” at Troldhaugen. We hope to meet there soon again.
