Prize for former Marie Curie Fellow

The Albert Maucher Prize in Geoscience is generally awarded once every two years to young researchers (up to 35 years of age) in recognition of the outstanding research findings and original approaches they have produced using German Research Council funds in an independent and self-initiated project.

Ulrike is currently a junior Professor at the Institute of Geosciences, University of Potsdam and works on palaeoclimate research, particularly in Asia (Tibetan Plateau, China, Mongolia and Siberia).

She was awarded the €10,000 prize in recognition of her multiple international agreements and her outstanding publication record as well as her successful fund-raising allowing her to manage her own projects and for her commitment to academic teaching and university autonomy.
