New paper from the group
Members of the Bergen Bullying Research group contribute with an empirical research paper in the latest issue of the Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association. The paper, entitled "A study of basic life assumptions and post-traumatic stress disorder among victims of workplace bullying" is written in Norwegian. An abstract in English is presented here.

Tidsskrift for Norsk Psykologforening, 46, 153-160.
The aim of this study was to examine whether 72 victims of workplace bullying suffer from symp toms of post-trau matic stress disorder (PTSD). The study compared the victims group to a matched «non-bullied» group, to determine if the two groups differ in their basic assumptions about themselves, about others, and about the world. The results indicate that victims suffer very significantly from being bullied at work. In particular, their assumptions about the world being a good place to live in are severely invalidated
