Testing of vascular stents


Vacular stents are advanced devices that can be inserted into e.g. the coronary arteries.

Vascular stents, stent grafts are used to expand and maintain the passage of blood through veins or arteries that have been clotted (stenosis). Various materials are used, such as stainless steel, cobalt chromium or nickel titanium alloys. The can also be "medicated" to prevent blood clotting (re-stenosis).
