Evolutionary ecology
This is a branch of ecology that studies how organisms have evolved to become adapted to their environment. This includes their interactions with members of their own and other species, as well as the physical environment.
We examine the selection pressures imposed by the environment and the evolutionary response to these pressures.
Both field studies and experiments are important for studies in evolutionary ecology. The photo show a student taking blood samples from willow grouse.
