Keno Ferter

Keno is studying the impact of tourist angling on local fish populations, in cooperation with the Institute of Marine Resarch

Main content

His research is part of the project "Fiskeressursene på kysten: grunnlaget for turistfisket og turistfiskenæringen" at the Institute for Marine Research. In order to get some information on the informal angling tourism sector, he is running an online survey in two German angling forums. Additionally, he is collecting field data on angler behaviour, e.g. the practice of catch and release, and cod caught by anglers as part of the EPIGRAPH project. Cod samples are collected in order to determine the ratio of coastal and Barents Sea cod in the catches.
