Metabolic risk factors and ovarian cancer in the Metabolic Syndrome and Cancer project
A recent study from the Me-Can project, combining long-standing cohorts in Austria, Norway and Sweden, showed that women with high blood pressure and women with elevated cholesterol levels had an increased risk of certain subtypes of ovarian cancer. However, women with the metabolic syndrome had no overall increased risk of ovarian cancer.
