There will be one competitive PhD scholarship (under the Quota programme) available from January /February 2012 at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Bergen.
Globalization and Develoment
The Department of Administration and Organization Theory has the past ten years developed an active research environment where the relationship between politics and administration in developmental countries in the South is central. Important issues in this context is how the state-society relations are designed, how the state organizations affects the possibilities for democratization and popular mobilization in these countries, and how the design and implementation of public policies in different fields are tied to power in administrative arrangements and processes.
