Activities
The group has frequent informal lunch meetings.
The group arranges monthly research seminars where critical review of draft papers or chapters and discussion of relevant texts make up the core activities. The reading of precirculated drafts ensures informed and productive discussion. The meetings are primarily organized to provide professional support to students, but make up a stimulating academic environment where everyone in the group takes part and everyone learns.
-For an overview of the meetings, see the calendar
The research group arranges an annual seminar at Finse, the highest point at the Oslo- Bergen railroad. The seminars are characterized by topical readings and invited guest speakers. These seminars are moreover used to discuss aims, strategies (coming applications etc). The annual meetings are important social events for the group members where we enjoy good meals, ski to the glacier Hardangerjøkulen or show shoe at the Finse lake, and chat and sing in the evenings. Some 20-30 group members have commonly joined these seminars.
