Approximately 40 senior and junior researchers from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden participate in "Literary Transculturations." The network activities are overseen by a steering board consisting of representatives from each country (see "Contact) and an international advisory board. There are also local research clusters in the some of the participating institutions working among other to integrate research themes from the network into teaching.

The network advisory board consists of David Attwell (Professor of English at the University of York), Jakob Lothe (Professor of English Literature at the University of Oslo), John McLeod (Professor of Postcolonial and Diaspora Literatures, School of English, University of Leeds),  and Ato Quayson  (Professor of English and Director of the Centre for Diaspora and Transnational Studies at the University of Toronto)
