The Norwegian network of Health Promoting Schools (HEFRES)

HEFRES is part of the European Network of Health Promoting School where more than 40 countries in Europe participate.

From 1994 to 2002 10 Norwegian schools identified models for developing and implementing programmes and activities to promote thriving and health in school. These models have been further developed and ammended in the Norwegian national programme "Daily physical activity and healthy meals in school".
