The research group Work, Knowledge, Economy and Education covers a large research area, and offers a great many of courses at the Department. Some of the most relevant research questions are:
- What is the relationship between different labor market institutions, and what is the potential for solidarity, collective mobilization and unionization in today’s labor market?
- What role has the formation of the Norwegian education system played in the development of today’s modern Norway?
- How is social inequality reproduced from one generation to the next, and what are the mobility patterns in Norway?
