Study of the nominal structure <DET mise en SN> and its role in French neology and lexical productivity
The nominal structure <DET mise en SN> is used in all sorts of language – in everyday language as well as in more technical terminologies. The study of this structure will be based on a corpus of <DET mise en SN> occurrences deriving from the dynamic corpus GlossaNet and other language databases. Some of the questions that I will examine more closely are:
- Can <DET mise en SN2> be viewed as an alternative derivation type ?
- <mise en> – does it hold an inchoative aspect?
- <mise en> – does it have prefixal properties?
- Can one consider the use of a <DET mise en SN> noun as a result of "structural contamination"?
- Can <DET mise en SN2> be considered as a more acceptable lexical structure in French neology?
