Workshop: BODIES AND SEXUALITIES IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT

Welcome to the workshop “Bodies and sexualities in a global context”. This is the second workshop in the frame of the research project THOUGHT AS ACTION: GENDER, DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM.
The workshop is intended as a preparatory workshop for the larger conference at Rutgers in October 7-9, 2010, entitled "Affective Tendencies: Bodies, Pleasures and Sexualities", and We have invited the Scandinavian members of the research group that are going to present papers at the Rutgers conference to present their work in progress.
In addition, we have invited Professor Nirmal Puwar from Goldsmiths, University of London to be a key-note speaker at the workshop.
