C.Wright Mills: the legacy of his writings 50 years on
The Sociology Department at the University of Bergen is proud to present the symposium: C. Wright Mills: the legacy of his writings 50 years on.
The Sociology Department at the University of Bergen, Norway, has invited prominent academics who have engaged with Mills’ work to a symposium on the relevance of C. Wright Mills’ writings 50 years on.
We regret to inform you that we have been made aware of the sad news that Professor Irving Louis Horowitz had passed away. The symposium will however go ahead as planned with some consequential changes. We intend that the opening session will be an open discussion of the interpretations and intellectual legacies of C. Wright Mills. John Scott and Ann Nilsen will lead this session and some speakers and participants will give some personal reflections to start the general discussion.
